Multiple datasets have been created to capture cancer treatment outcomes data in the CaNISC system, however they have all failed to be taken up and used. This book documents a project combining action research methods used successfully in education to capture assessment data with an agile prototyping methodology to enable the clinicians to design a system to support them in collecting data in a way that is both useful and time manageable. As more and more clinical datasets are being created at a management level as well as required to study success rates of treatments it is vital that clinicians buy into the collection. This project demonstrates one method that worked, and offers a suggestion for how others can repeat that success.
