The teaching and practice of business ethics in higher educational institutions in Ghana has been promoted and implemented over the years. This research investigated the effect of teaching and practicing ethics on the performance of graduates. A mixed method was used to establish and explain the relationship between the variables. One private university was chosen for the study. The data collected was analyzed using SSPS software package. The results of the survey established a positive relationship between the quality of business ethics education and practice in private universities. The findings also revealed that, other important factors might contribute significantly to increase performance of graduates besides quality of teaching and practice of ethics. The study finally recommends that, strict monitoring and adherence to the established instruments for checking ethical standards in various institutions needed to be strengthened. Further research to investigate other factorsthat might influence performance of graduates was also recommended.
