The main goal of this research is to identify critical success factors with are associated with ERP system implementation. The actuality of the topic is underlined by significant number of ERP implementation which are treated as unsuccessful. The main deliverables of the research could be formulated as follows: the systematic review of the literature and research publication on critical success factors for ERP systems has been completed. From review it was found out, that a problem is still actual, and there is lack of research completed for Baltic Sea Region countries, particularly for Latvia. Therefore, a survey has been, developed and implemented among industry representatives in Latvia. The collected data were analyzed and the list of critical success factors from point of view of Latvian industry has been introduced. The list was analyzed also using AHP method to complete ranking of the factors and top 5 has been selected and proposed for industry consideration. A top 5 has been identified for two types of ERP: cloud based and ERP on promises. Delivered research results could be useful during planning ERP implementation process and consider them in project management approach.
