C. W. Ruth was Assistant General Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene. He was instrumental in bringing together the Association of Pentecostal Churches of America, the Church of the Nazarene, and the Holiness Church of Christ. He is also the author of 'The Second Crisis in Christian Experience,' and 'The Pentecostal Experience.'
