The present study was conducted with the objectives, to study the personal, socio-economic and psychological profile of the cashew nut processors, to assess the entrepreneurial ability of the cashew nut processors and factors influencing it, to identify the factors associated with the success-failure of cashew nut processing enterprise, to study the supply chain in cashew nut marketing and to study the constraints faced by the cashew nut processors. The study was undertaken in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of Konkan region. A sample of 100 cashew nut processors comprising of 50 micro and 50 small processing entrepreneurs, was interviewed with the help of a specially designed schedule. There were two dependent variables, of which entrepreneurial ability was measured with the help of specially developed scale.
