Indian agriculture is rapidly changing due to globalization, competitive environment and changing role of government. Thousands of agriculture and allied graduates passed out from universities are going unemployed. On the other hand, there is acute shortage of trained manpower in agricultural extension, agri-clinics and agri-business centres are managed by professionally qualified agriculture and allied graduates, located in rural areas provided value added extension services to the farmers, Thus extension gap can be reduced. Due to lack of entrepreneurial competency, many agricultural postgraduate students are not in position to take advantages of agro based enterprises. Not much study has been done in India to assess competency of agricultural postgraduate students towards the agribusiness. The time is thus for SAUs to measure level of entrepreneurial competency of postgraduate students, which will suggest an idea of motivational skill to develop agro-techno manager having innovative.
