The Bengal Basin is a vast area, where the great Himalayan range is in the top on the north and the southern end of it meets the Bay of Bengal, inclusive West Bengal, Bangladesh, Tripura, Assam, part of Meghalaya and Sikkim. The essence of the Bengal Basin is its historical facts, social aspects and all other different issues in the domain of man and the environment that reflects the tradition, culture and heritage, social codes, ethics, nature and beauty, individual glories and greatness and even sometimes the insurrection and insurgence on the soil of Bengal.
