Environmental crimes cover activities that breach environmental legislation and cause significant harm or risk of harm to the environment, human health, or both. These crimes constitute one of the urgent issues that preoccupy the world. This book examines the various environmental crimes in Cameroon and the measures put in place by the Cameroonian government to curb environmental crimes in Cameroon. The author of Environmental Crimes in Cameroon reveals a compendium of legal texts, policies, and institutions protecting the environment in Cameroon and the challenges faced in implementing measures taken in Cameroon to curb environmental crimes. To effectively tackle environmental crimes, the book recommends, inter alia, that the state ensure that genuine ecological impact assessments are made before the environment is exploited.
