The objective of this research is to develop a pedagogical strategy for environmental education that contributes, through the discipline of Nature Sciences, to the integral education of 5th and 6th grade primary school pupils in Huambo, Republic of Angola. This strategy was applied in the context of the "Ndala Kandumbu" primary school in the commune of Capango. The most important result of the thesis, from the theoretical point of view, is the design of a pedagogical strategy that brings a new treatment to the work of environmental education: as a fundamental element in the teacher's procedure and as a dimension of the integral formation of the pupils. In addition, this research conceptualises the term environmental education in the teaching-learning process from the discipline of Natural Sciences. In the practical order, it is in the pedagogical strategy proposal, which presents: a Training Course for teachers; an Environmental Education Manual for teachers and students with topics that enrich the contents of the programme of the Nature Sciences discipline, and a Methodological Guide.
