This book is the result of the Course Conclusion Work, carried out in the Biological Sciences Course at the Federal University of Roraima, with the aim of analyzing the projects developed in the public schools of Boa Vista, Roraima and getting to know the teachers' conception of Environmental Education and regional environmental issues. The qualitative research opted for Bardin's (1977) Content Analysis technique to analyze the data obtained through the application of semi-structured questionnaires. As part of the field research, visits were made to 12 schools to get to know and analyze the proposed projects, as well as the teachers responsible for them. Most of the schools have been working on the school garden project, while others have chosen to work on specific dates alluding to the environment. Teachers at educational institutions are an important source of encouragement for developing environmental education projects with their students. However, the research identified flaws in the educational process with environmental issues, because although the teachers develop environmental education projects, they find it difficult to take a stand on the subject.
