Chapter one begins with an introduction that exposes the definitions of the key concepts in environmental ethics study and the reasons behind learning the field. It introduces environment and environmentalism, environmental justice, environmental ethics, environmental economics, environmental politics, environmental science technology, environmental sustainability, and green economy. Chapter two discusses the theories/perspectives on environmental ethics and justice such as biocentrism, eco-centrism, eco-feminism, anthropocentrism, non-western perspective, and holistic/ pluralist perspective. Chapter three raises the agenda of the environment as an ethical problem and entertains various debates/discussions from politics, economics, science and/or technology, and ethical perspectives.
