Bernd Lottermoser is a professor in Sustainable Resource Extraction and Director of the Institute of Mineral Resources Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. In his varied career, he has worked in the mining industry and also in research and academic instruction in Australian, British and German universities. He has authored and coauthored over 200 scienti¿c publications and reports in numerous earth science ¿elds.
