This study made it possible to visualize all the established textual provisions protecting the environment. Our guiding principle has been to present the formal internal framework for environmental protection in the mining sector, headed by the constitution, which enshrines the right to a healthy environment and the consideration of natural resources as a common heritage of the nation deserving special protection and attention. Moreover, this same constitution leaves room for the law and regulatory authorities to pursue the consolidation of the right to a healthy environment. So it was also an opportunity to decipher the legislative texts involved in protecting the mining environment. By extension, the regulatory authority is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental protection rules for the indigenous populations involved in the process.It is clear that Cameroon's mining law is not alone in protecting the environment, as several external instruments are also involved
