Enric Pol is Professor of Social and Environmental Psychology at the University of Barcelona. Since 1987, he has directed the Master's in Environmental Intervention and Management: Person and Society. Between 2005 and 2021, he coordinated the Research Group in Social, Environmental and Organizational Psychology (PsicoSAO). He has coordinated the interdisciplinary Doctorate program in Environmental Sciences and Technologies (2006-2016) at the University of Barcelona. Between 2007 and 2012 he was coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Inter-University Master's in Work, Organizational and Personal Psychology-WOP-P of the University of Barcelona, with four other European universities. From 2014 to 2021 he was director of the Interuniversity Master's in Psychosocial Intervention. From 2008 to 2012 he was Director of the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Barcelona. He works, researches and has developed Environmental Management instruments, such as the DIS/BCN (Social Impact Detection), applied to a multitude of projects, including the Environmental Impact Assessment of part of the Madrid-Barcelona AVE. He has worked on resistance to environmental change and conflicts, with an emphasis on individual and social behavior, social movements and organizations, educational, communicative and socialization aspects. Reviewer of national and international journals and research projects, he has developed numerous research and advisory activities for companies and public administrations in education, communication, management and citizen behavior in relation to environmental issues. Author of numerous publications, the one reissued here from 1993, Environmental Psychology in Europe, stands out. He is co-editor of 100 Key Concepts in Environmental Psychology, Routledge (2023).
