This study, carried out at the Masina/Petro-Congo public slaughterhouse during the academic year 2020 - 2021, with field data collection taking place between December 10, 2021 and August 20, 2022, is a study of the environmental and hygienic conditions of the activities carried out at the Masina public slaughterhouse, with a view to proposing effective solutions that could help reduce its risks and consequences. To arrive at the results, an extract of which is given below, we used the direct observation method, characterized by a series of field surveys to define the terms of the study. This method relied on documentation and surveys as basic techniques. The activities of the Masina public slaughterhouse include the reception of cattle, their slaughter and distribution after cutting. No solid or liquid waste management system complying with environmental and hygiene standards is visible at this site, causing concern for environmental protection and the preservation of human health
