Environmental sustainability is a subject that has sparked research and discussion among economists, environmentalists, academics and other professionals working in the field. Inserted in this context is the disposal of automotive lubricating oils, an item that has a life cycle that can be reused countless times depending on how it is managed. The aim of this research is to investigate how automotive lubricants are disposed of in the city of Guarapuava-Pr, as well as to analyze the work of reverse logistics and compliance with specific recycling laws. Methodologically, a quantitative study was carried out in which the data was tabulated using tables, graphs and percentages. The sources of the data collected were books on environmental economics, articles and scientific journals, and finally a case study with interviews with the actors involved in the work.
