The studied area (Al-Atwani village) southern east of the Egyptian ferroalloys company is highly polluted with lead, cadmium and cobalt due to the emissions of the company, in addition to exhaust automobile emissions (the highway connects Cairo and Aswan). The degree of pollution is limited as faraway of the company. There are no clinical signs of typical acute or chronic poisoning of lead, cadmium and cobalt, meanwhile animals exposed to sub-toxic concentrations of these metals. Presence of livestock particularly near the company for long time increases the risk of poisoning with metal pollutants. The obtained data from estimation of lead, cadmium in blood, hairs or wool, milk and feces of different animals reared in the vicinity of the company are higher than the international permissible limit.
