The Utinga State Park (PEUT) is one of the few green areas with the function of preserving biodiversity left over from the urbanization process in Belém. Added to this is the fact that the effectiveness of controlling the use of the park is directly linked to maintaining the quality of the water supply, since it is home to the city's so-called "water barn".
