The UPAs were created as a government strategy to improve the quality of care provided in emergency rooms, acting as a medium-complexity service, acting as an intermediary between the basic health unit (UBS) and high-complexity care, with the aim of prioritizing care according to risk classification, covered by protocols according to the Ministry of Health.

Dieses Buch bezieht sich auf Untersuchungen, die in einer Gemeinde im Landesinneren des Bundesstaates Goiás, in der Stadt Ceres, im Rahmen ihrer Abschlussarbeit durchgeführt wurden. Die Autorin stammt aus Uruana-GO, ist 24 Jahre alt, eine Träumerin, mit Glauben und Ausdauer. Sie hat ihr Studium an der Staatlichen Universität von Goiás (UEG), Campus Ceres, abgeschlossen und ist auf die Notfallversorgung und die Intensivstation spezialisiert.
