Chronic Kidney Disease of Uncertain etiology (CKDU) patients were reported in several countries including Nicaragua, El Salvador, Andhra Pradesh in India and some parts of Sri Lanka. I earned my first degree of Bachelor of Science from the Open University of Sri Lanka in 2006 with a Second Class Lower Division. I extended my studies by enrolling for a M Phil at Faculty of Medicine, in 2009 and the Faculty extended my M Phil to a direct PhD. Accordingly I completed my PhD in the field of Epidemiology and Biomedical Sciences.
