Trafalgar is the first novel in the first series of Episodios Nacionales by Benito Pérez Galdós. Gabriel is the central figure, a poor boy who never knew his father, who takes a job as a guide for English visitors. Through this vocation he finds himself aboard the Holy Trinity which affords him a direct view fo the battle of Trafalgar. This books provides an account the battle, but also describes daily life and customs in 19th century Spain.
