Hossain Ahmed Taufiq was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, he is a Lecturer at the Department of Global Studies and Governance in Independent University Bangladesh (IUB). Before joining IUB, Taufiq worked at various capacities with Dhaka University, UNDP, UNESCWA, Population Council, BRAC University, National University of Rwanda and Trócaire.
