Guybrush must find a way to restore Elaine to office, while uncovering a plot to turn the Caribbean into a tourist trap, headed by his archnemesis LeChuck and Australian conspirator Ozzie Mandrill. Sean Clark and Michael Stemmle were the lead designers, both of whom worked on previous LucasArts adventure titles. The soundtrack encompassed contributions from five different composers, including Michael Land, composer for the previous Monkey Island games. Escape was the last of LucasArts' adventure games to be released.
