Escape - Jim Nash takes his crew on a well-deserved vacation and ends up knee-deep in trouble when, trapped in a blizzard, he is forced to delay their trip to a ski lodge in the Colorado mountains. When the Interstate is closed, another couple is waylaid in the small town in what at first glance appears to be a bullet-riddled car. Are they two troubled young people on the wrong side of the law, or only confused wayfarers railroaded into doing someone else's dirty work? Jim, Maddie and faithful dog Friday are drawn deeper into the mystery as a blizzard rages on. Forget Me Not - Jim Nash and his partner, Maddie Spence are called on to help an old friend locate his missing daughter. But is she really missing? Jim thinks she's gone on a romantic getaway for a long weekend and an opportunity to study for her final exams soon to be coming up. Maddie isn't so certain. An old nemesis is out of prison and looking for trouble. When she crosses the path of someone who looks familiar, it doesn't take her long to put two and two together. How could she not? The woman was the one who drove a giant snow clearing machine into the back of her car in god-forsaken Escape, scattering money, dreams, and hope for a new life in the bright lights and big city. Jim and Maddie agree to help locate the missing woman. They make for the Florida panhandle, determined to track down the woman with the help of faithful dog and companion, Friday, along for the ride.

Autorenporträt
Peter Duke's gypsy spirit has taken him to some strange places in the world, but now he's content to limit his adventures to riding a motorcycle and whatever he might encounter when he's on the road. Consequently, he's worked in bike shops doing odd jobs from planning and putting on rides down Mexico way, taking care of computer networking and security, and to picking up and delivering motorcycles from the El Lay basin to Las Vegas, among other things. He's ridden over a lot of North America at one time or another from Canada to Mexico, and from Atlantic to Pacific. By far his favorite ride is up and down the length of the Baja Peninsula, where the people are friendly, the sun always shines and it's warm in the winter.Of everything that he has experienced in his all-too-brief life, Africa is perhaps the greatest enigma. It's a beautiful continent, rich in people, nature and resources, yet poor in all of those areas, too. There are some missing years in there, but he likes to think a little mystery is good for the soul.https://pxduke.com
