When students moved to tertiary education, they need to adapt to diverse teaching methods and therefore need to have the ability to adapt to the teachers various teaching techniques and styles. This is especially true when it comes to the two major teaching modes at tertiary level namely listening to lectures and giving presentations. As such, some mismatching by using auditory or visual learning styles for kinaesthetic students may be suitable. It increases their awareness and expands their learning styles which let them meet the needs of academic teaching methods and tasks. This facilitates them to learn in new ways and assist them to stretch and develop new learning styles to survive at the university. Therefore this book looks at the difficulties of some low proficient students in trying to stretch or adapt to other learning styles. It also identifies the major and minor perceptual learning styles (visual, auditory, tactile and kinaesthetic), and sociological styles (working individually, and working in group) of these students. Research findings presented in this book will benefit teachers, parents and students in the field of teaching and learning.
