Nabil F. Saba, MD, FACP, is an internationally recognized leader in the treatment of head and neck and esophageal cancer.  He is Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine and Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Medical Oncology Program at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Dr. Saba has led several institutional and national trials in head and neck and esophageal cancer and chaired a number of NCI cooperative group trials. He has been elected Chair of the National Cancer Institute Head and Neck Cancer Steering Committee's task force on rare tumors and is a member of the NRG and ECOG Head and Neck Cancer core committees as well as the NCI steering committee's task force on recurrent metastatic head and neck cancer. Dr. Saba has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, review papers and book chapters. He is a member of the editorial boards of Cancer, Oral Oncology, Head Neck, American Journal of Clinical Oncology and Cancers of the Head and Neck. Bassel F. El-Rayes, MD, is Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine and Associate Cancer Center Director for Clinical Research at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He is Director of the GI Cancer Program at Winship Cancer Institute. Dr. El-Rayes has focused on translational drug development research in the area of GI malignancies, including esophageal cancer. He has been principal investigator on a number of institutional and multi-institutional trials. He has served on the NCI Neuroendocrine Tumor Task Force as well as the ASCO Guideline Committee. Dr. El-Rayes has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, review papers and book chapters. He is an editorial board member for multiple journals.
