The reader will fail to encounter the damnation of suicide with religious arguments in this book, as well as the approval of it with philosophical ones. The present book is not a collection of carrion sermons against suicide, as such a pursuit sounds fake- a failed edification in the matter, as well as an empty rhetoric. But also, the reader will not come across an apology of the suicidal act, despite the fact that some philosophers exaltedly present this ultimate fatal human gesture as an act of supreme liberty of the being. It is a book that aims to examine the theme in the spirit of cultural anthropology, a book in which things are judged coldly, objectively and balanced.
