Clinical Biochemistry represents a part of laboratory medical sciences which basically deals with disease diagnosis, prognosis and screening as well as monitoring of treatments for diseases, playing an indispensable role in healthcare management. Although there are plenty of text books on the disciplines of Clinical Biochemistry, most of them have concerned on the analytical procedure and techniques used in biochemical testing. However, this book was prepared to provide an overall knowledge which should be acquired in clinical biochemistry in order to deliver a proper health care service, in terms of, sample collection and transport, categorization of biochemical tests, standard path of workflow in a clinical biochemistry laboratory, quality control and quality assurance of clinical biochemistry investigations, laboratory quality management, principals in interpretations of test results and basics in point of care testing, rather than analytical procedures or techniques in test performance.
