Autorenporträt
I am a Canadian-Israeli writer originally from Ottawa, Canada. I studied drama at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, and received my B.A. in Drama & English from the University of Toronto and my M.A. in English from the University of Victoria. My script The Bleeding Season won the 2007 Canadian Jewish Playwriting Competition and was publicly presented in Toronto in 2008. Another play, Knightlife, was performed that year in Ottawa as part of the In the Works festival by Odyssey Theatre. My poetry was awarded the Harry Hoyt Lacey Prize in Poetry by the American literary club The Exiles (Fall 2015). My writing (poetry and prose) has been published in 300+ publications in 31 countries (Canada, U.S.A., England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Romania, Israel, Yemen, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, China, Australia, South Africa, Malawi, Nigeria, Trinidad, & Mexico). My writing has also been translated into Hebrew, French, Turkish, and Crimean Tatar. I have participated in readings of my work in Arad, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary, and have published two poetry and photography volumes, Inspirations of Israel: Poetry for a Land and People and Judean Dreams.
