M. Lalli Lassegard is a polyglot with a penchant for collecting linguistic textbooks. Though his linguistic devotion eats most of his time, he spends what remains of it delving into the depths of obscure musical groups from the 80s. He has a song recommendation for any occasion and will not permit anyone think otherwise. When writing, Lassegard strives towards a minimalist writing style and places specific emphasis on the emotional exploration of characters. He draws inspiration from themes surrounding sociolinguistics, language identity, and social ambiguities. His focus is on the mundane aspects of every day life and how they can be either crushingly oppressive or delightfully surreal. While his work can often delve into grim topics, he tries to weave a sliver of hope into his stories. Above all, he hopes that his writing can resonate with others who may be in need of validation or comfort.
