Autorenporträt
The author Rupali Devi Barua is a nature enthusiast and her activities revolve around nature and safeguarding natural paraphernalia. She is fond of birds and animals since her childhood (she had peacock and deer as her pet as there was no restriction as keeping them as so at that time, that is sixties) and perhaps such a childhood has helped her choose her subject as environmental philosophy for post graduate research, philosophy being her subject at master level. Her married life with the need to attend to assorted chores for children and other family members had not deterred her from pursuing a subject that was beloved to her.
