It is known that ethics is in charge of the systematic study of human conduct both in personal life and in health, surrounded by values and moral principles. On the other hand, clinical laboratories involve the constant interaction of the professional, patient and community, therefore, a quality service must be provided based on trust, with relevant information that promotes a comfortable environment. From the above mentioned, it is defined that it is important the application of ethics in clinical laboratory work, to ensure quality care and relationship between health personnel, since their results depend on this application. But it is necessary to know the background of these results, for this reason, this review presented a perspective of ethics and its influence on clinical laboratory work.
