The book critically evaluate the overall supply chain management practices and performances of Ethiopian tanneries.Supply chain framework metrics used in supply chain were the management, cost,quality,delivery,flexibility,and environmental practices and performances of key actors in the chain. The primary data collected were substantiated by secondary data from reports and records reviews regarding the supply chain. The results found shows that the current supply chain management practices is traditional and the rawhides and skin supply is highly complicated and controlled by middle-actors with little or no knowledge about modern way of doing tanning business. The delivery, flexibility and supply environment is very poor along the chain. Thus, it is high time to implement an organized and integrated Supply chain management system in order to get improved output from Ethiopian leather industry.Finally, the book can help practitioners in the supply chain to measure the practice andperformances of varied supplies list in manufacturing industries supply chain management.
