However, traditional folk knowledge is passed on in unrecorded form. Medicinal plants are an important tool for promoting health, both for rural and urban populations. The aims of this research were to retrieve and record traditional folk knowledge on the subject among students at the IFSULDEMINAS Campus Muzambinho - MG. The work contributes to the traditional popular rescue of medicinal plants and their registration, thus avoiding the extinction of this knowledge and helping to ensure that this tradition does not come to an end. Thus, transmitting the correct knowledge of how to use medicinal herbs and the ideal preparation of each one.

Maria Vitória Pereira Vicente studiert derzeit am IFSULDEMINAS - Campus Muzambinho - MG und beabsichtigt, im medizinischen Bereich zu arbeiten. Ihr Interesse an Heilpflanzen wurde 2017 geweckt, mit dem Ziel, das Wissen über die Heilkraft von Kräutern zu bewahren. Das Projekt, das hinter dieser Arbeit steht, wurde auf der 9. wissenschaftlichen Konferenz des IFSULDEMINAS vorgestellt.
