The present book has been written with a view to giving a glimpse of the rich treasure possessed by this great region in its ethnic diversity. Unlike a large majority of ethnobotanical researchers who confine themselves either to ethnomedicine or to one or more socio-economic aspects in their works, the present book deals with almost all aspects of ethnobotany. The present ethnobotanical work was carried out by doing periodical and extensive ethnobotanical survey, assessment of field and knowledge bank of tribal inhabitants localities of Garasia Tribal people are the repository of accumulated experience and knowledge on indigenous flora & fauna. It is, therefore, extremely desirable to document the traditional knowledge before it is lost forever. Data presented are based on actual ethnobotanical surveys conducted by the author for a period spread over more than ten years to collect a firsthand account of ethnobotanically interesting species at flowering or fruiting stage. Description is supported by 11 figures & 221 photographs. As far as possible, technical terms have been avoided in plant descriptions to make reading interesting for lay reader.

D. degree in taxonomy,has 16 years of experience of research in taxonomy, ethnobotany and ecology.Dr. Meena has published more than 45 research papers in standared journals including the several new records. He has also authored two reference books won several best paper awards.
