The wood samples of eucalyptus genetic resources were subjected to pulpwood traits analysis. In case of physic-chemical properties, all clones expressed moderate to high range with respect to the parameters investigated. The strength properties were also exhibited significant amount of variations among the clones. The maximum heritability was recorded by bulk density. Volume index recorded the highest PCV and GCV. Positive and significant phenotypic and genotypic correlation with unbleached pulp yield was registered for holocellulose. The volume index was highly and positively associated with…mehr

The volume index was highly and positively associated with plant height, basal diameter and number of branches both at phenotypic and genotypic levels. The plant height, basal diameter and number of branches had direct positive effect on volume index. The clustering pattern obtained through hierarchical analysis exhibited a wide range of genetic divergence among the clones investigated in four Eucalyptus species.
