During our entire study we have utilized the property of Eu(III) ion for luminescence as well as cyclic voltammetry study. The Eu(III) ion is utilized as model system for both the techniques because it provides very good emission spectra looking to the electron configuration of Eu(III) ion, Eu(III) ion is the one of the few lanthanide, which exited its divalent state and this divalent state found very stable because of 4f7 configuration.

Born in Bhavnagar on 15th November 1969 Dr. Jignasu P Mehta had done his M.Sc. with Analytical Chemistry in 1991 and he was awarded Ph. D. degree of Maharaja Krishankumarsinhji Bhavnagar University in 1998. He joined his career as Lecturer in Department of Chemistry in July 1996 and at present he is working as Associate professor.
