Abdul Qayyum Khan is the author of Understanding Afghanistan, History, Politics and the Economy. He has published many articles in an international journal of Europe. He earned his PhD in Agricultural Economics from Colorado State University, USA, and received his Master's in Economics from Quaid-i-Azam University in Pakistan. He has worked as a Project Director at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and New Mexico State University. He has also worked with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
