In this book, we report a successful synthesis of well vertically aligned Eu doped ZnO nanorods prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) without any catalyst. The effect of different PLD growth parameters in forming the nanorods and structure has been studied. Laser energy and frequency have an effect on the size and the height of the nanorods; the oxygen pressure changed the density of the nanorods. The ZnO nanorods were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD). The obtained XRD patterns showed ZnO wurtzite structure nanorods grown along the C-axis. Morphological properties of ZnO nanorods were investigated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) while the quality of structure was investigated using photoluminescence (PL).
