Different viewpoints in some countries caused a different approach to the legislative treatment of these two issues, but their solutions are, due to the many activities in this area, constantly reviewed. There are no studies about euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide in the countries of the South-East Europe, and this is the first comprehensive study on this issue. The authors have conducted the survey in Serbia and the results are significant for this region. In this country, there is possibility for the legalization of this kind of the deprivation of life, so, it was important to conduct the mentioned survey.
