Lucy Komen participated in her first development of a Public Corporation strategic plan development in 2001. The paper was not implemented fully, which meant that the corporation continued to make losses. she then observed other Public Corporations in Kenya and noted a down trend for over 60% of the once vibrant and economic supporters. This meant that jobs were lost, economic activities reduced and mainly reduction of the country's income earnings. Lucy, undertook a study to find out the effects of the turnaround strategies on the performance of Kenyan Public corporations. What she found out dispels the general believe or common practice. Lucy received a diploma in business administration - information systems from Algonquin College, Ontario Canada, a Bachelor of business administration from Kenya Methodist University and an MBA from Egerton University. She was also involved in the Kenya Agriculture reform process which merged agriculture public corporations under one single authority; she played a major role in formulating regulations anchored on the new laws. Lucy is passionate about the revival of Kenyan Agriculture Industries, a great negotiator and a strategic thinker.
