Biodiesel stands out as an alternative fuel to diesel oil, presenting advantages in environmental, economic and social biases. In order to validate its use, studies are needed, among which those involving the mechanical maintenance of engines powered by this biofuel stand out. Thus, this book presents the methodology used to evaluate an engine fueled with B50 (mixture in equal proportions of common diesel and biodiesel produced from energy tobacco oil), which ran for a period of 100 hours. Produktbeschreibung
Therefore, parameters of the lubricant oil used were analyzed, such as its kinematic viscosity at 40 ºC and its infrared spectrum, as well as the conditions related to wear or accumulation in some of the engine components that have contact with the fuel. In general terms, it is expected that this work will serve as a useful reference for everyone in their research on the subject.
