The interest in studying this topic came from the fact that there is a need to verify the performance of SBS (styrene butadiene styrene) modified binders during the machining phase, so that this material can reach the field with physical and rheological characteristics able to meet the minimum specifications required in the service specificationsThe study proposes to investigate the aging mechanism of asphalt binders modified by SBS commonly used in paving and, based on this, to determine a machining curve in order to control the temperature applied to asphalt mixtures from the time of machining until the time of application on the road, using the binder studied in the research.
