The epilepsy chronic disorders characterized by recurrent seizures. The age adjusted incidence of epilepsy is 44 per 100,000 person years. Each year, about 125,000, new epilepsy causes occurs; of these 30% are in people younger than age 18 yrs at the time of diagnosis.
