Crude methanolic extract and different fractions of Gomphreana globosa (Amaranthaceae) were subjected to investigate biological activities based on traditional medicinal uses. Among all the fractions n-hexane soluble fraction exhibited highest free radical scavenging activity and phenolic content compared with BHT and Galic acid, chloroform soluble fraction showed significant cytotoxic activity compared with Vincristine sulfate; crude methanolic extract, n-hexane & aqueous soluble fraction reveled significant peripheral & central analgesic activity at a dose 400 mg/kg body weight in mice model. On the other hand crude methanolic extract showed very mild antidiarrheal activity in mice model.
