The perceived benefit of CCS technology is in its ability to remove carbon dioxide emissions from industrial sources of pollution. The objective of this study was to further the understanding of its potential application in industry by assessing whether it can be considered a Best Available Technique (BAT). With this the need for operators to justify chosen technologies as BAT is enshrined in EU legislation.
