Thus, the author recommends that: awareness of counselling services be enhanced; more counsellors to be recruited to make up for the low counsellor-student ratio; paraprofessionals for students with special needs to be recruited; location of the counselling offices to be reconsidered to enhance privacy and confidentiality; and an ongoing evaluation of the counselling programmes be done. This book is recommended for counsellors, education policy makers and counselling educators.

Dr. Njeri Kiaritha holds Ph.D. (Educational Psychology), M.Phil. (Educational Psychology), Post Graduate Diploma (Human Resource Management) and B.Ed. (Home Science) from Moi University, Kenya, where she is a lecturer in Educational Psychology and Counselling. She holds a Diploma in Leadership Studies. She is also a consultant in Sign Language.
