The objectives of the study were to examine the effectiveness of Housing policies and their implementation strategies in the provision of low-cost housing to the urban poor in Kisumu City, to establish the constraints in the housing policy towards the provision of low-cost housing, to evaluate the strategies that have been applied in the provision of low-cost Housing to the urban poor in Kisumu City.

Mr. Samuel Otieno Ondola was born on 12th February,1974 in Kisumu, Kenya and has MSc Degree in Project Planning and Management from University of Nairobi. At present he is the Chief Officer ¿ Roads, Transport & Public Works, County Government of Kisumu, Kenya. Since 2010 he has attended many workshops in USA, Germany, UK, Philippines And Uganda.
