A basic evaluation for infertility may be grouped into three main categories: semen analysis, assessment of ovulation, uterine and tubal evaluation. Uterine and tubal structures may be visualized using a variety of techniques, including hysterosalpingography, transvaginal sonography, sonohysterography, laparoscopy or hysteroscopy.
