This book includes Examining the effect of machining current on the out put parameters i.e. cutting speed, spark gap, MRR and surface finish. 2. Determining the best suitable or optimum machining current value to be used for machining different thickness work pieces for the two tool materials under present study. 3. Study the effect of work piece thickness on process parameters i.e. machining current, cutting speed, spark gap, surface finish and MRR and to arrive at optimum values for the both tool materials under present experimentation. 4. Develop mathematical correlations for determining the machining current to be set on WEDM for machining any thickness of the work piece among the materials tested and also for calculating the cutting speed, spark gap and MRR. 5. Mathematical correlations developed are useful in estimating the machining time, process planning, and cost. The machining parameters can be set on the machine without trial and error method for the required yield, which in turn increases the accuracy, reduces the machining time and cost. 6. Data obtained can be used to develop data base & an expert system which can be made an integral part of the machine at later stage
